Roxio are aware of the issue and I have been assured that they are looking into a fix for it. This issue probably won’t affect many people, but it is listed as a just in case. The only “bad point” that I have come across is as follows.Īs mentioned above, the issue that I ran into. Just to note, I didn’t play around with it for too long in the editor – just trimmed the beginning and end, and then uploaded to YouTube. I am happy with the outcome and will leave it here for you to make your own mind up on it. I set everything to the highest settings – very best and 1080p, just to see how things went with my PC, and also to see how the device performed. I have included a short video that I had recorded literally straight after setting the device up. I had no issues with it in any of the videos that I had captured using the device.

I know some people have experienced problems with the sound playback – fortunately, I was not one of these people. You can adjust the video quality effortlessly by sliding the Quality bar from left to right, depending on how you would like to adjust it. No matter what resolution you choose to record/stream in, your video is going to look great. Whether it be to Facebook or directly to YouTube, you can do this from within VideoWave. Once you have recorded, edited, and saved your video, you can share it if you wish to. VideoWave allows you to do pretty much everything to your video that you would like to edit – everything from trimming down the video, to adding overlay effects and music. It may look a bit overwhelming when you first load it up, but you will find that it is really easy to use. The editing suite (VideoWave) that comes bundled with the device is excellent.

Just install the software that came on the supplied CD, hook the device up and choose between “Live Stream” and “Game Capture.” If you choose to stream rather than capture, you will be prompted to sign into your or account – following this, you are all set to get started! Fortunately, it was a problem with my TV, not the device, and everything was fixed in no time! If you have an older 32″ TV and it doesn’t show the image at all, try going into the Display Settings on your console and change to 720p – this fixed it for me. I got in touch with Daniel – the guy over at Roxio who sent me the device – and he arranged for the Product Manager to get in touch and help via Skype to get everything up and running. I couldn’t get a picture on my TV, yet the stream was being fed to the PC totally fine.

I did, unfortunately, encounter a few issues when getting set up. Once all of the wires are plugged in and things are ready to go, it is pretty straightforward to get up and recording, unless you run into the problem mentioned below. The device is powered via the computer, so there is no separate power cable/lead. The Getting Started Guide helps you out very well if you get stuck along the way. Just connect the Game Capture device to both your TV and games console using either HDMI or Component Cable, and then to your PC/laptop using the supplied USB cable.
